Gustavo Diaz Ordaz International Airport (Puerto Vallarta International Airport) is located 10km north. There are direct flights, some seasonal, from dozens of US and Canadian cities and direct charters from the UK.
Flying is the easiest way and often the cheapest way to arrive in Puerto Vallarta. There are direct flights from the United States, Canada, and other areas of Mexico, with daily flights from many major cities during the high season of November – April, with more limited flights the rest of the year.
Major gateway cities in the United States include San Francisco, Los Angeles, Denver, Dallas, Phoenix, and Houston. From Canada, the major gateway cities include Vancouver, Victoria, Calgary, Toronto, and Montreal.
If your destination is farther south along the coast in the Costaalegre, it is also possible to fly into Manzanillo’s Playa de Oro International Airport (ZLO), which is 30 kilometers (19 mi) south of the towns of Melaque and Barra de Navidad. However, Manzanillo has fewer international flights.
