Overview

Las Caletas Beach Hideaway From Nuevo Vallarta

The Las Caletas Beach Hideaway is a Day Tour where you are going to spend time out at sea on a kayak or marvel at the area’s many underwater wonders while snorkeling or paddle boarding just offshore. Take a guided nature walk and meet some of the permanent residents of Las Caletas, including playful monkeys and beautiful parrots. You can also learn more about the region’s culture and traditions by participating in hands-on activities, including clay modeling, mezcal tasting, and cooking classes. It’s all up to you!

Hop on the boat and come to the shores of our exclusive and secluded beach hideaway, along the Riviera Nayarit, Puerto Vallarta, and Cabo Corrientes municipality and nestled in the Sierra Madre Mountains. Las Caletas, Puerto Vallarta is one of the top four secluded tropical beaches globally—accessible only by boat.

The best part, you get to choose how you experience Las Caletas in Puerto Vallarta; you can choose pure relaxation (easy to do in shaded hammocks strung between towering palms) or thrilling exploration! With our tour, the day is yours to create—you provide a sense of adventure, and we’ll provide everything else, including the exclusive tropical beach!

Las Caletas beach is, pure and simple, a paradise tropical beach hideaway and Mexico’s own Garden of Eden. Rich in tropical wildlife and filled with scenic vistas to spare, this secluded nature preserve is a paradise unlike any other.

The natural beauty of Las Caletas was originally discovered along the Riviera Nayarit by famous film director John Huston, who made it his private home for many years. Accessible only by sea, Las Caletas is surrounded by a steep, jungle-clad mountain backdrop, making it a truly secluded tropical sanctuary.

FAQs

Is your meeting point within walking distance of the Carnival Cruise Terminal?
You are actually at the departure point, so you only need to wait for the departure time.
When am I allowed to take off my face covering?
Guests are allowed to take off their face masks during water-based activities such as swimming with dolphins, snorkeling, and scuba diving. Guests are also allowed to remove their face covering on the boat tours and privates’ beaches as long as a social distancing of 5 ft from individuals out of your party and crew members can be maintained.
What happens if I have a temperature of 37.5ºC or above?
If you or an individual in your party presents a temperature of 37.5ºC or above, you will be asked to return to your hotel and not be allowed to participate in the tour or excursions.
How do I get to Las Caletas?
The Las Caletas tour is accessible only by boat, and because it’s private, the only boats permitted to dock are those owned by Vallarta Adventures. This means there are no street vendors or tourists from other companies making it a real tropical beach hideaway.
Can I book both the day tour and Rhythms of the Night on the same day?
You can book both tours in the same day but you will need to come back to Vallarta on the boat in between tours. Guests are not permitted to stay at Las Caletas between the day and night tours because the afternoon hours are when we prepare for the evening event.
Are all drinks included?
Our open bar has fruit juices, sodas, beer rum, tequila vodka, and margaritas throughout the day.
I'm a vegetarian is there anything I will be able to eat?
Of course! Our buffet-style lunch includes a large selection of salads, pasta, and grilled vegetables, as well as seafood paella during the day. You can help yourself as many times as you would like!
Is Las Caletas wheelchair accessible?
Unfortunately, Las Caletas is not wheelchair accessible. Due to the beach hideaway nature, there are several inclines and steps and a lot of sand. Wheelchairs will not maneuver over the beaches up to the spa or the activity areas.
Should I bring money for souvenirs and photos?
Yes, they provide photo services, and the photos will be available for you at the end of the tour. You can also purchase souvenirs at our shop.
What is children's age/price for this tour?
Children ages 3 years old and younger are free for this tour. Child prices apply to children ages 4 to 11. Any child age 12 years and over is considered an adult.
Are wetsuits available?
Yes, we have wetsuits available upon request from December through March.
