Rosie’s Vallarta Cooking Puerto Vallarta

 Rosie is a Mexican mom/grandma/wife who learned to cook from her grandmother, all different dishes from scratch in a pre-Hispanic way.

She will take you from buying and selecting fresh ingredients at the farmer’s market to preparing and tasting the most delicious and typical Mexican dishes. We are positive that with the right tutorship any person is capable of preparing mouth-watering Mexican food.

Learn how to choose the vegetables and fruits while Rosie tells you about their properties and see the process of making a tortilla at the factory.

We offer a cooking workshop in Puerto Vallarta. Are you in Nuevo Vallarta, Bahía de Banderas, south of Puerto Vallarta or coming in a Cruise ship? Not a problem, our pick-up point is strategically located and easy to reach from any of the aforementioned areas. Once you sign up for a cooking class you will meet Rosie at our strategic meeting point, she will be in a yellow t-shirt with the logo of Rosie’s Vallarta Cooking.

ACTIVITY DURATION: 6 HRS Approx.

ACTIVITY AVAILABLE: Monday to Saturday (subject to availability) from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM.  

  • Note: Please provide your hotel and preferred departure time in the ‘Special Requirements’ box upon booking if you need transportation to the activity location or the departure point.

ACTIVITY REGULAR MENU:

  • MONDAY: Chile Rellenos & Nogada peppers: Vegetarian, Vegan, and Pesquqetarian options.
  • TUESDAY: Almond Chicken, White rice, Pastor tacos & Dessert; Optional to the group.
  • WEDNESDAY: Birri (beef, pork, or chicken), White rice, Refried beans & Dessert; Optional to the group.
  • THURSDAY: Tamales (beef, chicken, or cheese), Dessert; optional to the group. Vegetarians & Vegan option.
  • FRIDAY: Antojitos Mexicanos: Pozole, optional: Sopes, Enchiladas or Tostadas; Dessert; Optional to the group.
  • SATURDAY: Red Snapper with salsa “Pescado Sarandeado”, Shrimp tacos & Dessert: Optional to the group.

CANCELLATION POLICY:

  • With more than 48 hours before the tour date – there will be a full refund
  • 24 hours before the tour date – we accept change of day, but there will be no refund
  • If you do not show up or are late – there will be no refund
  • The charge will be for the number of people that you have indicated in the reservation

What if the food is too spcy for me?
There is a variety on the menu and not all of the recipes require chiles. Nevertheless, you will be cooking and measuring your spicy preference.
